Let’s talk about AI again

Preamble

Do you still remember the man-machine duel between top Go player Lee Sedol and AlphaGo 6 years ago in Seoul, South Korea? The result of that battle was that AlphaGo, a computer Go program developed by Google DeepMind, defeated Lee Sedol 4:1. This man-machine confrontation made the public feel the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for the first time and made AI no longer just a jerky and incomprehensible technical term discussed in the high-tech industry, but a hot topic that ordinary people will mention in their daily life and something that will change our cognition.

“Strong AI” and “Weak AI”

As a cutting-edge technology, AI combines computer science, statistics, neurology, and social sciences. The ideal AI, the so-called “Strong AI, Full AI, General AI”, can be human-like with the ability to plan, learn, communicate using natural language, and the ability to integrate the above and achieve set goals. Strong AI can distinguish, recognize, analyze, and make decisions like a human. Therefore, many people worry that one day, AI will replace the human who invented AI.

From 1956, which is called the first year of AI, AI has developed for nearly 70 years. Although we have made obvious breakthroughs in deep learning, the artificial intelligence that humans can currently achieve is still in the stage of “Weak AI (Narrow AI, Applied AI)”. Artificial intelligence at this stage can only solve problems in specific fields. The familiar AlphaGo, Siri, and FaceID belong to “Weak AI”.

The source of intelligence in artificial intelligence?

Machine learning is a highly multidisciplinary field involving mathematics, computer science, statistics, and other disciplines.

At the heart of machine learning lies its ability to generalize and synthesize. Simply put, machine learning is the use of algorithms to parse and learn from large amounts of data, and then make its own decisions and predictions about events in the real world.

The biggest breakthrough in the history of AI?

Deep learning is a branch of machine learning, but it is different from machine learning.

Deep learning is the use of Deep Neural Network (DNN) to make the model more complex, so that the model has a deeper understanding of the data. The purpose of deep learning is to enable machines to have cognitive abilities like humans, that is, learning ability and analysis ability, so that they can recognize various data such as text, images, and sounds.

Deep learning has been widely used in Computer Vision (CV), Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and other fields.

Have you heard of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)? This is the representative algorithm of deep learning. CNNs have been widely used in image classification, face recognition, object detection and other fields. For example, when using CNNs to classify X-ray and MRI images, you can get more accurate results than the human eye.

According to Market Research Future’s global deep learning market research report, the deep learning market is expected to reach $17.4 billion by 2023.

Application areas of AI

What are the application areas of AI that are closely related to our lives? Let’s look at Deloitte’s AI report.

Source: Deloitte Artificial Intelligence Report

According to Deloitte’s report, “There are three main application areas of artificial intelligence: cognitive automation, cognitive engagement, and cognitive insight.

The cognitive automation area mainly includes machine learning, robotic process automation, etc. In this area, robots can complete tasks that can only be accomplished by skilled workers.

Cognitive engagement refers to cognitive technologies forging closer connections with humans, such as receiving patients, recommending products, etc.

The last area is cognitive insight. In this area, AI can not only understand what has happened, but also analyze what is happening and predict what will happen in the future. AI with cognitive insights can proactively solve customer problems.

According to a Stanford University survey study titled “Artificial Intelligence and Life in 2030,” experts predict that AI will play an important role in the following eight areas: transportation, service robots, healthcare, education, low-resource communities, public safety, employment and work and entertainment industries.”

AI Avatars

AI avatars refer to virtual humans that break through the boundaries of physics and provide anthropomorphic services through AI technologies such as computer graphics, deep learning, and speech synthesis.

AI avatars are classified into service-type AI humans and identity-type AI avatars according to their functions. Service-type AI avatars emphasize functionality and can be used in all walks of life, such as AI lawyers, AI pharmacists, AI shop assistants, AI police officers, and AI reporters, assisting real people in their work, thereby liberating the workforce.

Identity-type AI avatars are mainly used in the cultural and entertainment industry, including the well-known Luo Tian Yi who appeared on the stage of the Spring Festival Gala, AYAYI who debuted in Xiao Hong Shu, and A-SOUL who joined ByteDance. They are all as popular as real idols.

At present, the AI avatar market is still an early market. According to the “Digital Virtual Human Depth Industry Report”, by 2030, China’s AI AI avatar market will reach 270 billion yuan. Among them, the market size of identity-type AI AI avatar s is about 175 billion yuan, and the market size of service-type AI AI avatars will exceed 95 billion yuan.

DeepBrain AI is an AI enterprise focusing on service-type AI AI avatar technology and application, which can produce “broadcast-level” AI AI avatar s. The unique Deep Emotion technology of DeepBrain AI endows the AI avatar s with vivid expressions like real people, and brings the virtual environment to a vivid experience like the physical world.

The AI AI avatars produced by DeepBrain AI are 97% like real people in both appearance and voice. Through real-time synthesis technology, AI avatars can also conduct real-time dialogues with users.

DeepBrain AI has produced China’s first AI anchor-AI WANG GUAN for CCTV, Time Xiao Ni -AI avatar of the famous anchor, Ms. Xu Chunni for Beijing TV, Korea’s first AI announcer, AI Kim Chu-ha for MBN. AI securities analysts for Samsung Securities, AI Son Heung-min for AIA Korea, and Korea’s first AI bank staff on the mobile app for Hana Bank.

The future of AI avatars- Inclusive AI avatars

DeepBrain AI is deeply engaged in AI AI avatar technology and applications. The company has self-developed image synthesis technology and speech synthesis technology and has applied for more than 90 patents worldwide.

The AI AI avatars produced by DeepBrain AI are widely used in various fields such as banks, insurance companies, securities companies, TV stations, schools, tourism, medical care, e-commerce, etc., to empower service in all walks of life.

With the continuous progress of AI technology and technological breakthroughs, soon, not only enterprises, but everyone will have their own AI AI avatars to realize the symbiosis of the virtual and physical worlds. This is exactly the vision and direction we strive for every day.
